• Originally founded in 1981. It was taken over by TNS plc in 2001. It became TNS India. The dormant Mode companies were re-launched in June 2004

• Mode Modellers Private Limited - This is the unit which handles commercial/consumer research. It has offices in Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata & Bangalore.
• Mode Services Private Limited - This unit handles social & developmental research. Its clientele includes funding agencies and government institutions & departments such as The World Bank, UNICEF, USAID, ADB, WHO and the different ministries of the Government of India.
• Modus Analysis & Information Private Limited - Modus is India's first full fledged Field & Tab unit with 11 offices in Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Lucknow, Patna, Ahmedabad, Madurai, Hyderabad, Cochin, Chennai & Bangalore. It can also carry out fieldwork in Bangladesh through its associate MRC-Mode Limited as well as Nepal & Sri Lanka. It services both Mode Modellers & Mode Services as well as international clients.
• Rocol IRO Private Limited - This is Mode group's outsourcing agency which provides high quality back up support to international agencies in the areas of analysis, report writing, preparing presentations and special analysis like multivariates, conjoint, datamining, etc. Website - www.rocol-global.com
